Carburetor Tear-Down & Estimate Policy

Carburetor rebuilds for any vehicles older than 1970 will require a tear-down & estimate. Our carburetor techincians will tear your carburetor apart to determine its condition and its need for any parts. Then, calls will be made to locate and price those parts. An estimate will then be formulated and you will be called. If you decide not to have your carburetor rebuilt, your carburetor is placed in a bag, in pieces, and you will be charged a Tear-Down & Estimate fee for the time and labor that was spent on your carburetor. Tear-Down & Estimate fees range from $20.00 to $50.00, depending on the amount of time spent sourcing parts.

Carburetor Warranty Information

Savas Tuning Systems Inc. warranties all its rebuilt carburetors for a period of six (6) months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated on the invoice. This warranty assumes that the vehicle's engine is operating properly and that its fuel system is in good condition. Additionally, this warranty assumes that the rebuilt carburetor will be installed by a qualified individual and will remain intact and unaltered. Savas Tuning Systems Inc. will test a carburetor that is claimed to be faulty and will repair the carburetor if it is found to have problems that are unrelated to any of the following:

  1. fuel system contamination (water, varnish, dirt, rust, gum, bad fuel, etc.)
  2. improper adjustment, installation or tampering
  3. misrepresentation of vehicle's stock, original status and components
  4. alcohol related damage or part deterioration due to methanol or ethanol fuel blends

If the carburetor tests correctly, the customer will incur a testing charge, which will be paid before the carburetor is released. The customer may be advised to bring in the entire vehicle for inspection if the carburetor tests correctly. For further information, see the full version of our carburetor warranty.
